Where’s Marco from? Europe? Hong Kong? Japan? Above is the repeating question from the domestic and foreign visitors in these five days of China Print. Every salesperson of Marco proudly saidthat it is 100% Chinese product. Our Book Wrapping Machine, Mercury 1210 is manufactured from our main plant at Guangdong Province of China. We have our branch office in Beijing and international office in Hong Kong. Of course, we are using 90% imported material and parts which are included Siemens, Lenz, SMC, Panasonic, and the Robatech hot-melt gluer, to ensure the quality and reliability of Mercury.
Marco is the designer and creator of Mercury 1210. He is also my partner and our Corporate Chairman, Mr. Marco Li. With 18 years experience of bindery and packaging equipment, and hard working for two years with his team, we finally launched the current version of Mercury 1210 in China Print. In fact, Mercury was firstly shown in Tianjin Press and Publishing Equipment Exhibition on September 2012. After that, we put Mercury into production at our valuable customer, Beijing Royal Printing Company. Mercury have been modified and fullytested with reliability for 9 months. And the latest version, the Mercury 1210 finally met our waste packages requirement, less than 20 per 100,000.
Chinese products are often giving the impression to people that their price are low but the quality is not guaranteed.During the exhibition, I experienced two interesting, where one is about our image of Chinese products. On the second day of China Print, our new colleague of Marketing Dept., Bonnie stormed up to me and said: " just those two Indian customersare really mad at me, they do not believe it is Chinese product, say ... that there is such a good hand and say that we copyJapanese products.”“Did you talk to him the advantages of Mercury ? Comparing with similar Japanese products, Mercury has better quality, faster, simpler design, more environmentally friendly, more cost savings and lower price.""Of course, I did. They all know the facts from the demonstration. That’s why they don’t believe it is produced in China.” Fortunately, they did not say it is copied from Indian products. Otherwise, ethnic conflict of two countries is caused by us.
Firstly, thank you Mr. Solema, the founder of SOLEMA, Mr. Alan Favretto of SOLEMA and Mr. Finn Nielson, Managing Director of Muller Martini Greater China for coming. We learned a lot from those VIP.
